INDIAN PAINTBRUSH

I have been painting even though I have been pretty bad at posting. This diptych in acrylic, shown hanging on the wall, is 36x36 on the bottom and 36x48 on the top and was inspired by a photo taken on a hike by my daughter and her husband and son. It became a housewarming gift.

LAKE TRAVIS

This spectacular view is from the top floor of the very popular Oasis Restaurant at a time when there wasa more water than there is today.

I WONDER...

This flurry of posts is prompted, in addition to some guilt for not posting for a while, by the fact that the five paintings in the posts have been selected for the Artists of Texas Exhibit at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas starting in November so, if you are in the area, drop by.  This pose is from a session at a figure painting group I sometimes attend.

WORKING YARD

It has been so long since I posted, I’ve forgotten what links were established so I unintentionally double posted “Flatirons” on Facebook yesterday!  I’ll try it differently today.   This painting is from a favorite spot to catch shrimp boats and various vessels out for repairs.

FLATIRONS

Recently Shay and I went to Lafayette, Colorado to meet our newest grandchild, Aria Almond, and help with her older brother, Finn.  At some point I was able to grab some time to work on this view of the Flatiron range from the deck of the newly expanded family's home.  Congratulations to proud parents Andrea and Randy!  I can't believe how long it's been since I posted.  Will try to do better.
